How did GFNet start?

GFNET (GetFocus Network Service) began as a simple idea driven by a real need: affordable and reliable internet access in areas where connectivity was either weak, expensive, or completely unavailable. The founder noticed that many markets, residential areas, and small businesses struggled to get stable internet for daily use, online work, and digital services.

With a background in networking, internet service management, and IT systems, the founder started GFNET by installing a small hotspot network in Iringa. The goal was to test a solution that was:

• Fast

• Affordable

• Easy for customers to join

• Stable enough to support many users at once

The first installation quickly gained users, proving there was a huge demand. From that point, GFNET expanded step by step—investing in better equipment, enterprise networking systems, and professional management tools like TP-Link Omada Controllers, Ruijie access points, POE switches, and solar-powered backup systems.

As the network grew stronger and more reliable, GFNET opened new sites including:
